Concept

Influenced both by historical and contemporary fashion, Victoria's design inspiration is derived from her artistic interpretation of ornithology and the natural world. It is through these bird and habitat studies that both form and material designs develop.

Victoria works in a variety of materials including her own home produced wool to create unique wearable felts. Stitch is Victoria's signature and she utilises it to produce beautiful modern eye-catching pieces.

The creation of naturally dyed wool felt is a totally organic process. Each year the wool is clipped from her small flock of Cheviot Bluefaced Leicester sheep. It is then washed, carded and dyed on site, using a variety of natural dye plants, some of which Victoria has grown. The resulting wool is both luxurious and durable in an array of beautiful muted colours. Being fascinated by the history of dyes and felting, Victoria is passionate about bringing these historic crafts into contemporary design.
