Victoria's Shopping Tips

Choosing a hat may seem tricky. It should suit your personality and style, as well as your face, body shape and height.

Here are a few tips that may help:

·       Oval face - All shapes and sizes.

·       Round face - A high or angled crown and a medium to large upturned brim to balance the face.

·       Long face - The narrower the brim, the longer your face will seem. So go for a wide brim and lower crown. Oval, domed, upturned to one side or floppy are all good.

·       Heart-shaped face - Any height of crown. But beware, the wider the brim, the narrower your jaw line will look. So go for a narrow to medium-sized brim.

·       Wide set eyes can wear almost any hat.

·       Big hats can overpower a small frame. Similarly, smaller hats can be lost on a large frame.

·       Fuller figures usually suit larger brims.

·       As well as your outfit, your hat colour should compliment your skin tone.

·       Fascinators and small headpieces – It’s worth noting that if you have a very flat back to your crown, then you need a fascinator with height. Low-sitting fascinators are not recommended.
